Why should you trust us?
After all, we’re not doctors. We’re not nutritionists. We’re not fitness experts. At Cultivating Your Energy, we’re just everyday people. We’re your friends, neighbors, and family members who live with health conditions, try to maintain a healthy weight, and cope with illness, motivation issues, stress, and the pressures of modern daily life.
We may not be experts, but we can tell you how we’ve had success in our journey to living healthier lives. We can share our experiences and whenever possible, reference the experts and people who have helped us discover a healthier path.
We’re not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be either. Becoming healthy and making choices for your health is a process, and it isn’t easy. We’re not trying to sell you anything, so there’s no shortcut, no “five easy steps”, no “guaranteed to work” gimmicks here. We struggle, too. We backslide. We sometimes fail. But, we get back up and try to do better tomorrow.
That’s all we can ask of ourselves, and of you. We all do our best. If you decide to eat the 20 ounce steak or have three pieces of birthday cake or miss your morning treadmill routine, it’s not the end of the world. Tomorrow: just try to remember your portion sizes, cut back on the sugar, and maybe hit the gym.
